April 19
Quiz 6 has been posted on the BCA site. It has to be completed by Sunday, April 25.
March 25
The BCA server is back up now.
March 24
The BCA server appears to be overloaded this evening. (The Java graphics do not dowload.) I have contacted the Ilrn administrators. An extension will be provided for the homework deadline.
March 17
The BCA server is back up.
March 16
The BCA web site has not been responding this week (Spring Break). I am told that it should be back up soon. I will keep you posted.
March 2
The miderm will be this Thursday, March 4. Don't forget to bring a scantron form (N. 815-E) and a No. 2 pencil.
February 27
The BCA system is still slow today (although less so than yesterday), so I have postponed the deadline for the Section 3 assignment(s) till next Tuesday (March 2).
February 26
The BCA server has been very slow today. For this reason, the deadline for the assignment due today has been postponed till tomorrow, Friday, 2/27.
February 11
The BCA server was down today during the early afternoon hours. To compensate for this, the deadline for the assignment(s) due on Thursday, 2/12 has been postponed till Friday, 2/13.
February 6
We will have a 10-minute quiz on February 12. It will be based on Sections 0.4 and 0.5.

We won't be meeting on Thursday, January 29.
January 22
Some students added the course during the second week, and they are still becoming acquainted with the online system for homework and quizzes. For this reason, Quiz 1 (which is due today) will be counted only towards bonus points.
January 20
Quiz 1 has been posted on the Homework 1 (Section 0.3) has been posted on the BCA iLrn system. The material is Section 0.3. The deadline to submit the Quiz is Thursday, January 22 at 11:00 PM. It can be submitted at any time before the deadline. However, unlike the homework, it has to be done in one login session, and once you start working on it, you have at most 24 hours to complete it.
January 15
Homework 1 (Section 0.3) has been posted on the BCA iLrn system. You have to register to work on the assignments. The PIN for our class is E-5X9GSDP9DWJ9M. Homework 1 is due on Thursday, January 22.
January 13
The starting point of the course Section 0.3 of the textbook. Sections 0.1 and 0.2 are regarded as prerequisite material. You should study these sections individually and use the exercises posted below as a self test. You should have mastered the material covered by Sections 0.1 and 0.2 prior to the third class meeting.

Mathematics Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction

Mathematics Tutoring Lab. The Mathematics Tutoring Lab provides free mathematics assistance students enrolled in mathematics courses at UTSA. The tutors are graduate students in mathematics and engineering. This service is provided in Monday-Thursday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Tomas Rivera Center. David, from the Suplemental Instruction program of the Tomas Rivera Center, will be cordinating group study sessions every week. The hours of the sessions are Tuesdays 3:30 - 4:20pm and Thursdays 2:00 - 2:50 pm, 3:30 - 4:20 pm. David will be holding office hours on Fridays, 10:00 - 11:00 am.
